Out Run
The Philippines, a predominantly Christian nation. In a fast changing and evolving world, this country still upholds its traditions and conservative behavior as of this date.
In the Philippines, the lgbtq community is pretty open and is active in the society. However, no laws are in place to protect the rights of the members of the community. This is a documentary about three individuals who sought to start getting the lgbtq involved in the law making process of the country. Their aim is to represent the community in congress and lobby to get laws passed to protect the members. They all belong to an lgbtq party list who is on its last chance in trying to win seats in congress after failing in their previous bids. Will they get the support from the members of the community and will luck finally go in their favor as they try for their last chance?
In a country where politics is dirty and representation in congress is done by popular vote, will the lgbtq community finally gets its representation? Let’s enjoy and watch as we follow their quest for recognition and representation for the community.
